10 days left for consultants to enter the NCE Awards

UK-based civil engineering consulting firms have until 21 April to enter the new NCE Awards and get onto the shortlist for the event that will put a spotlight on the best in the business.

As well as categories to determine the top consulting firm and SME consulting firm of the year, there are categories to showcase business culture achievements. There are awards for the Best Place to Work; Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Leader; Recruitment and Retention Leader; Environmental, Social and Governance Leader; and Best Delivery of Business Change.

“We have a broad range of judges drawn from client organisations, government and industry bodies lined up to judge entries for the NCE Awards,” said NCE editor Claire Smith. “The event is a great opportunity to showcase your business as one both employees and clients want to work with and other industry players to collaborate with.

“In recognising that not every firm can excel in all areas, we also have a number of sector awards lined up to highlight high performing teams within consultancy businesses in the UK. Categories this year focus on airports, energy, local transport, roads, rail and water and environment.”

There are also categories to celebrate the firms that provide critical business support to UK civil engineering consultancies with awards for legal, financial, insurance, recruitment and technology solutions.

Smith said that some have questioned the focus on consultants with the awards and the lack of categories for contractors but she pointed to NCE’s sister title Construction News’ CN Awards which already provide a celebration of the achievements in that sector. “The aim of the NCE Awards is to provide the same opportunities for UK consultancies as the CN Awards has done for many years for UK contractors,” she said.

Full details of the categories and criteria for the NCE Awards, along with the judges lined up to review entries, can be found on the NCE Awards website.

The deadline to enter is 21 April and the winners will be announced at a gala evening event on 20 September at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.
