The Office of Rail and Road (ORR) has accepted Network Rail’s plan to try and improve train performance in the failing Wales & Western region.

Two railway bridges in Glasgow are to be demolished and replaced with modern structures this weekend as part of Network Rail’s £140M East Kilbride enhancement project.

There were no recorded workforce fatalities on the UK rail network between April 2023 and March 2024, the first time this has happened in eight years.
